From the fiery glow of Indonesia’s Mount Merapi to the icy shores of Antarctica’s Baily Head, where thousands of chinstrap penguins march in and out of the surf, the Sony World Photography Awards has announced the winning images of its 2025 National and Regional competition.

Chosen from more than 419,000 submissions across 56 countries, these images capture awe-inspiring moments of nature, culture, and human resilience.

The winning photographs will be showcased at Somerset House in London from 17 April to 5 May, alongside the overall winners of the Student, Youth, Open, and Professional categories.
